Award-winning El Dorado Tasting @ Lime House
Set in a heritage four-storey shophouse in Chinatown’s Keong Siak belt, Lime House opened its doors in 2013 and is inspired by all things Caribbean. The restaurant introduced the concept of liming which means hanging out with friends and of course, having a good time.
El Dorado Rum 12-Year-OldAwarded the gold medal at the Caribbean Rum Taste Test (held annually in London) no fewer than seven times in the first 10 years in which the competition was held! It also won Gold Outstanding Rum at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in 2013. It is rated 8.3 out of 10 by 312 votes. The dark rum has loved for its spicy, earthy, butter and coconut notes.
El Dorado Rum 15-Year-Old
This rum was rated best rum in the world for four years. It won Gold Outstanding Rum at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in 2013. It is rated 4.33 out of 5 by 408 votes. A delicious blend of Caribbean rum, El Dorado 15 Year Old marries spirits from the Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills, the Port Mourant double wooden pot still and the Versailles single wooden pot still. All the tasty spirits are blended and then aged in bourbon oak casks before bottling. This was rated the best rum in the world at the International Wine and Spirit Competition four years running, and for good reason.
El Dorado Rum 21-Year-Old Special Reserve
Made from rums of between 21 and 25 years of age, matured in 45 gallon oak casks, within six degrees of the equator in Guyana. El Dorado 21 was awarded a Gold at the International Rum Festival 2003 in Canada and a Silver at the 2003 International Wine and Spirit Competition in London. In 2013 and 2017, El Dorado Rum 21-Year-Old Special Reserve won Gold in the International Wine & Spirit Competition on both occasions. This rum scored the highest ever by the Beverage Tasting Institute in Chicago.
